The following year, Zia began considering e-commerce as the idea of digital business gained global traction. He intended to supply grocery items in Dhaka based on this concept. The company’s name, Chaldal, is derived from everyday staples like pulses and rice.

Being a new type of business, Chaldal initially faced several difficulties. However, Zia’s prior employment in the clothing sector greatly aids in both commercial management and quality control. By selling items that are certified by BSTI and securing agreements with reliable suppliers, they establish a distinctive standard in the market.

Chaldal is currently renowned as an e-commerce platform that benefits those with special needs. His commitment to the Zia family’s special-needs brother prompted him to create a platform that caters to hearing and speech-impaired customers through chat options.
