Many bright youngsters from Bangladesh travel overseas each year to pursue higher education. In addition to the reason for your trip, you must take the IELTS exam to study, work, or pursue other overseas opportunities. In short, the International English Language Testing System, or IELTS for short, is a global standard monitoring system for English language ability. You cannot pursue higher education or employment in many nations of the world if you fail this test. Other linguistic nations, in addition to those that speak English, place a high value on IELTS results. We shall thus go into great depth today on how to register for the IELTS exam in Bangladesh.

IELTS Enrollment in Bangladesh

The British Council and the International Development Program (IDP) Education typically administer the IELTS test in Bangladesh. In each of the nation’s divisional cities, there are several centers of these two organizations. You can register in person at these centers to take the tests. Every month, on certain dates, IELTS tests are administered. Typically, there are two registration categories: Academic and General Training (GT). An individual will fall under the Academic category if they take the test intending to pursue higher education. And a person will fall under GT if they wish to move for work or any other cause.

The paper-based test, on the other hand, takes roughly two weeks to receive. To register for the test, you only need a valid passport and your National Identity Card (NID). The first step is to visit the British Council’s website. Test Taker Portal is the name of this component on the website: https://eamidentity.britishcouncil.org/account/login. The examinee will make his or her account here. The examinee’s name, birthdate, and email address are needed to create an account. The process of creating an account will then be finished by providing a password and reviewing the terms and conditions of registration. Rather than completing the entire registration process at once, the candidate can take breaks as needed and finish the process at different times by creating an account on this portal. Another benefit is that using this platform, TRFs (Test Report Forms) can be sent to colleges for further education and IELTS scores can be reviewed later.

Choose a Test Category

Click on ‘Book New Test’ in the upper left corner of the screen after logging in and making an account on the Test Taker Portal. The option to select the test category will then show up. You must select between General Training (GT) and Academic. Following the selection of the department and nation, you must decide whether the test format will be computer-based or paper-based. For those with disabilities, there is an accessibility requirement choice. Individuals with disabilities can bring a scribe, assistive equipment, a modified listening CD, a hearing-impaired version, or a hearing aid device to the exam center. In this area, they’ll choose the accessibility requirement option. You must first decide on the date you would like to take the test. Payment for the venue and registration fee will then need to be made on the designated date.

Provide the necessary data and supporting documentation

Personal information is required in this section of the application process for taking the IELTS exam. This phase requires adding the mother language and the reason for taking the test. A scanned copy of the NID card or passport must then be supplied as an attachment. Before taking the IELTS, you should renew your passport if its expiration date is approaching.

Section for Review

The review section phase requires a thorough verification of the exam date, passport, and personal data. If there are any errors, they must be fixed at this phase.

The candidate’s email address will receive a confirmation email from the British Council once the fee is successfully paid. Selecting a particular location for an IELTS test

Go to ‘Find Session’ and choose the test date and location. After that, the last phase of registration will start. There are five steps involved: choosing the test day, creating an account, reviewing, paying, and completing the booking.

Setting the Test Time

Venue, date, and hour are listed in the main session list. Changes to the time can only be made individually in the Select Test Date sub-section.

Review and Account

A scanned copy of your passport and your personal information must be uploaded at this step. The review section shows all of the data that has been submitted thus far. This is the step when any errors can be fixed.

Payment for Exam Fees

Exam fee payment is the final registration step. After the fee is successfully paid online, registration is finalized. At this point, all of the test’s information is sent in one email.
