Established in 1989 by Selim H. Rahman, Hatil is one of Bangladesh’s top furniture manufacturers. The company began by making doors but eventually branched out into interior design and furniture. Over the years, Hatil has established a reputation for producing high-quality goods, inventive designs, and technological innovations. Along with two modern factories, an e-commerce website, a mobile app, and the first virtual showroom in Bangladesh, 70 showrooms are currently run nationwide.

The Rise of Hatil

Habibur Rahman, the father of Selim H. Rahman, founded “H.A. Timber Industries Limited” in 1966, which was Bangladesh’s first wood seasoning plant. This marked the beginning of Hatil’s journey. Selim H. Rahman established Hatil Doors in 1989 after beginning door manufacture in his father’s factory at a customer’s request. In the early 1990s, he developed an interest in furniture manufacture as a result of the rise in demand. The business established a specialist plant in Kuril, Dhaka, in 1993.

Hatil created the lacquer finish technique in 2002, which improves the items’ longevity and visual appeal. As a result of the growing demand, further factories were established in Farashganj and Shyampur. Hatil utilized the Japanese Kaizen methodology to ensure quality in 2008 after consolidating all activities into a state-of-the-art factory in Jirani, Savar.

Variability and Innovation

The products offered by Hatil include office and home interior design, doors, and furniture. The company ensures the efficiency and quality of its products by using CNC machines, robotics, and modern manufacturing procedures. Hatil employs FSC-certified oak and beech wood rather than conventional teak wood to preserve the environment.
