The Mate XT is an inventive gadget that Huawei just unveiled. This tri-folding smartphone’s 10-inch folding screen blurs the lines between smartphones and tablets. You will become more amazed by the phone’s sophistication the more you explore it. The phone represents the future of smartphones with its tri-folding design, amazing camera system, and potent Kirin processor.

The Mate X’s sleek form is the first thing that catches your eye. This phone is remarkably thin and more stylish than other popular horizontal foldable phones, measuring only 3.6 mm in thickness. Among the priciest foldable phones available is the Huawei Mate XT. Currently, the phone costs 480,000 Taka in Bangladesh and ranges in price from 19,999 yuan (about $2,800; £2,200; AU$4,245) to 23,999 yuan, or around $3,420, for the maximum storage model. The Mate XT Ultimate Design hasn’t been extremely well-liked in the Huawei retail market because of its exorbitant cost.

Huawei is the leading manufacturer of foldable phones worldwide, according to International Data Corporation’s second-quarter study. With its highly acclaimed Z Fold and Z Flip series, Samsung achieved 16.4% of the global market share, while Huawei secured 27.5%.

The internal hinges and screen of the Mate XT

From the front, the design of this phone appears to be standard for smartphones. The new gadget from the Chinese tech behemoth features three screen sizes, a candy bar-like size, and a 6.4-inch single screen when folded. One side of the 7.9-inch dual-pane display is open, and the other hinges of the 10.2-inch QHD resolution display are fully open. As a result, it may be used for both document processing and leisure pursuits like gaming and movie viewing. Due to its two hinges, the phone may fold in a variety of ways.

Similar to other foldables, the display includes two faint creases that run beneath the screen. The Mate XT is only 12.8 millimeters thick when folded completely, which is not much thicker than the “Z Fold 6’s” 12.1 millimeters. The screen, when fully open, is an LTPO OLED with a 16:11 aspect ratio, a refresh rate of 90 Hz, and a resolution of 3184 x 2232 pixels. The design makes it possible to carry a full-sized tablet in your pocket, which is a unique experience.

Although it appears familiar, the Mate X’s design is unique

Though it was the first tri-folding phone to be sold commercially, the Mate XT Ultimate Design’s design is comparable to that of other smartphones. Inverted, the phone’s octagonal camera bulge resembles Honor’s “Magic V Fold 2.” The device’s whole design—including its colors, borders, and finishing—is similar to Honor’s thin, book-style foldable, the “Magic V3.” The primary reason for this resemblance is that Huawei sold the Honor after seven years of ownership because of the US prohibition in late 2020.

A 12-megapixel periscope-style telephoto camera, a 50-megapixel camera, and a 12-megapixel ultrawide-angle camera are all included in the Mate XT’s camera bump. Moreover, there is a tiny opening on the left side for the 8-megapixel selfie camera. Images captured in both high and low light levels typically display well on the Mate X’s screen. Nevertheless, the telephoto lens’s attempt to capture sharp images in dim inside lighting becomes apparent after a few minutes of testing at the full 10x zoom.

Furthermore, when the phone is open, the keyboard splits in two, making typing more comfortable. The metal frame and leather-like rear of the phone also give it a high-end feel.

Operation of the Huawei Mate XT

Huawei produced the Kirin 9010 processor, which is used in the Huawei Mate XT. 1TB of storage and 16GB of RAM are included.

Two split-screen apps and a floating window are the only multitasking options available on the phone. which isn’t much more than the foldable books that are available today. For multitasking, Huawei’s entire screen is excellent. With this phone’s 5600 mAh battery, you won’t need to charge it as often throughout the day. Given its power, style, and affordability in comparison to other phones of its kind, it is reasonably priced for its performance.

However, the phone’s 8-megapixel selfie camera is good for video chats but not the best for taking sharp selfies. You also miss out on the opportunity to expand its storage capacity with a memory card.
